How can you quiet your mind and learn to enjoy life again?

You Can Experience A Lighter and More Peaceful Way of Being
When you are caught up in a daily cycle of anxiety, exhaustion, and grief, it can be difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel. You may see other people walking down the street, smiling and apparently carefree, while you feel utterly alone and trapped in your own suffering.
While others may appear to be free of stress and fears, you are not alone. Many people suffer from persistent anxiety or grief after the lost of a loved one. Sadly, many have also survived sexual abuse and bear the traumatic marks left by such a physical and emotional violation.
No matter what you have been through or what challenges you, there is hope. If you are ready to find peace and happiness, I can help lead you back into the light.

You Can Find
Happiness Again

Managing Anxiety Can Improve Relationships
You Can Rediscover Happiness, Control and Peace of Mind
For over 30 years, I have specialized in anxiety, grief and loss, and sexual abuse counseling. Through open and honest communication and with dedication to your well being, I can help you develop the tools to bring your problems to light and better understand your thoughts and emotions.
Through one on one counseling sessions, you can learn tools to manage stress and take steps toward mindfulness. Using the techniques I have refined, I can help you feel comfortable sharing your innermost thoughts and fears. I can teach you how to use a mindful approach to your anxieties and emotions.
I offer both traditional sit down therapy and a unique walk and talk therapy, in which you and I will simply stroll through a natural environment, as you would with a trusted friend. While our walks would take place on a public path, you are far more likely to encounter foxes, rabbits, and other wildlife than another person.
I can offer you my confidentiality and my years of training and experience as we delve into the fears, memories, or regrets plaguing you. While the soothing motion of walking opens our minds, we will problem solve together. You will learn the benefits of a holistic approach to mental well being and the helpful effects of natural endorphins. My unique walk and talk therapy has helped many explore their inner lives in new ways – nurturing body, mind, and spirit all together. I can help you come out of the dark.
You May Have Questions or Concerns
Many people fear that if they acknowledge their negative thoughts and memories, they will become too much to handle, too difficult to push down. But I have seen that the opposite is true. The mere act of beginning to talk about anxiety, grief, or the trauma of sexual abuse brings the first release.
Therapy offers you the opportunity to dig up your issues, look at them in a new light, and work through them honestly.
If you simply bury your feelings, you deny yourself the opportunity to grow stronger through them. When you open up, you offer yourself a full, happy life as your true self.
If I Seek Counseling, Won’t People Think I Am Weak?
Therapy is for people who want to stop living a stunted life and get out of the darkness. There is no shame in seeking medication for a heart condition or going for a run to maintain physical health. And, I believe that there is no shame in taking care of your emotional and mental health as well.
